The Hudson Valley and Catskill region have much to offer
visitors of all interests. The town of Woodstock is known for its shops and
flea markets, galleries and art centers. There are many venues for dance,
music and film. Visit the Woodstock Playhouse or attend a performance at
the Maverick, home to the oldest running chamber music series in the country.
Woodstock is also home to excellent restaurants including favorites like
New World Home Cooking, known for its dedication to local farmers, and
The Bear Café, recognized by Wine Spectator as having one of the
best restaurant wine lists in the world.
There’s also no shortage of outdoor activities, including fly fishing,
hiking, horseback riding and rockclimbing.
A short drive will bring you to a local vineyard, the home of a Hudson
River School painter, or an orchard for apple picking. Tell us your interests,
and we’ll help you plan the activities that will enhance your stay.
