Pros: I liked the availability, and location to my event and the highways.

Wonderful short stay in NY before show

Pros: The owner, Rose, is wonderful! She drove us to the train station so we could get into the city on time for our musical (upon arrival). She also picked us up at 11:15 PM. I got a tour of her museum the following morning.

Cons: I can't think what I did not like.

Comfy stay with a great host in a home full of African art!

Pros: What a delightful Inn! The owner, Rose, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. She provided snacks in the kitchen and helped us get settled in. The Inn is decorated with African art and is truly beautiful. Bed was comfortable, shower was wonderful, we had a smart tv in the room. Couldn’t have asked for more! We were visiting Sarah Lawrence College, and it was only an 8 minute drive.

Cons: This was not a problem for us, but it is next to a highway and you can hear traffic noise.

Pros: Host is extremely friendly and house is very comfortable.

Pros: Everything. The facility, decor, the host, the art

Cons: Booking.com did not confirm our reservations but asked us to call the owner to verify

If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful and quiet place for a getaway in the area, this is it!

Pros: The atmosphere was very conducive to relaxation and to be surrounded by beautiful art of Africa everywhere you looked was an additional bonus. The host and her assistant were extremely helpful and went out of her way to help through a challenging personal event. Soon the owner (Rose) will be opening a museum dedicated to African art. Rose is a lovely individual who will make your stay exceptional.

Cons: Nothing!

African Oasis Inn is now at the top of my list for when next I travel to Bronxville, Westchester

Pros: The decor was great. The rooms are well-appointed. We felt very much at home. This will be a hit for folks who are artsy or arts adjacent.

My new favorite place to stay when visiting New York City

Pros: What a unique option for lodging while in NYC! Really close to highways and the neighborhood was lovely. I can’t wait to make this my go-to when in NYC. The owner was so warm and welcoming and available.

Amazing B and B with beautiful folk art and exceptional hospitality

Pros: Everything. The house is decorated with exquisite art from many different African countries. The room was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated and extremely clean and quiet. The kitchen was stocked with wonderful items for breakfast and snacks - including a large selection of fresh fruit. Rose, our host was fantastic. She gave us rides to and from the local train station when we went into the city and showed us her art collection and her museum in progress. We loved talking to her. She even gave us an anniversary present of a beautiful piece of art because we were celebrating our 37th anniversary. The yard and garden around the home is gorgeous - the garden is done by Rose’s mother who is in her mid eighties. We also met Rose’s nephew who kindly helped us with our language. What an incredible experience. We will definitely come back and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be immersed in art and experience too notch hospitality.

Cons: Only that we had to leave after two short days
