Overall, the pros outweighed the cons and I would stay there again.

Pros: The house rental was a much better option for us than separate hotel rooms. We enjoyed the charm of the older home, the natural/original wood floors and what looked like the original sink in the kitchen. The home was well-stocked with not only cookware and tableware, but there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets, and thoughtful touches like guest baskets for forgotten items that included not only toiletries in the bathrooms but also coffee pods and tea bags in the kitchen - which was fortunate as I forgot tea bags!

Cons: On the downside, there was no cell service at the house which was not mentioned in the listing. I would recommend that the listing include a reference to limited or no cell service (this may be carrier dependent?) There was also no regular television cable service available, although there was a DVD player, but again, this is something that should be mentioned in the listing. On both of these, its better to be prepared and expecting this. Lastly, I have not rented a private property like this before, but I was shocked by how much the added fee for cleaning was. I thought it was excessive, but I am not sure what the market fee is for that.
