Charming Cottage with Yard - 2 Mi to Tinker St!

Lovely relaxing forest weekend!

Pros: Great kitchen, though we had to McGyver a little with the available cooking vessels/utensils; absolutely gorgeous tile pattern in the bathroom. Wonderful cozy cottage. Great location - remote and quiet but close to town and a short drive from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. We even saw a deer peeking in the window one morning!

Cons: Heating upstairs didn't work; the gravel drive was a little hard to navigate at night.

Very nice cottage and conveniently located from Woodstock and School of Art. Peaceful area.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, very nice amenities. Beautiful yard/landscape and wildlife (deer). Like exposed beams on ceilings, tile flooring design in bathroom, modern amenities. Cudos to the artist!

Cons: Staircase to upper level. Seemed steep to traverse for older person. Good for younger individuals.

We had a great time in Woodstock and found the home to be fitting for our needs.

Pros: Beautiful location and great hosts. The kitchen and bathroom were very nice, and we had everything we needed.

Cons: The space was not the most comfortable, especially the living area and the upstairs. The door also stuck and likely needs to be fixed!

Great house in a sweet location

Pros: Beautifully designed house, great shower and good air quality! Very quiet and pretty location. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the bathroom floor was gorgeous! We appreciated the laundry room too.

Cons: Perhaps a bit more cleaning of ceiling fans, screens in the windows and this was pricey, but I guess that's Woodstock.

Pros: Great location, close to Tinker St, Opus 40 and kayaking on the Esopus. The house was immaculate and decorated tastefully. Beautiful tile work in the bathroom.

Great time and space away from home!

Pros: This cottage is so tastefully done; it is the perfect stay for any occasion, clean, quiet and beautiful!

Cons: It couldn't have been better. We were very happy.

Pros: We liked everything. Great location! Charming Cottage! So close to Woodstock. We started with a 2 night stay from 9/17-9/19/23 and liked it so much we extended our stay for another two nights. Booking.com lists this as two different trips. Please see my detailed review for 9/19-9/21/23.

Pros: Location was perfect! Minutes away from the heart of Woodstock. House was beautifully appointed, clean and charming! The kitchen and bathroom are stand outs with beautiful beams in the kitchen and tile work in both rooms. The bathroom tiles are a work of art! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pantry items if you wanted to dine in. Thoughtful touches like coffee and creamer were there for us when we arrived. And the location was lovely: beautiful, serene, peaceful, quiet. We loved seeing the wildlife: deer, birds, chipmunks, etc. We liked it so much we changed our original booking and stayed an extra two nights! Our contact, Tonya, was very responsive and helpful when we had a question or needed some supplies, (in this case a box of tissues). All in all, a lovely stay and we look forward to returning!

Cons: We really liked everything, so the following are small points to note: Great cottage for 2 but I would invite guests with care. There is only one bathroom on the main floor. Having one bathroom worked well for the two of us but for larger groups this may pose a problem. The house has 3 bedrooms. The steps to the upstairs bedrooms are very steep. Navigating these steps was a bit difficult and we did so with care, to get some extra hangers and linens in the upstairs closets. But I would be concerned about any overnight guest's safety since they would need to navigate these steps more often. And be careful not to bump your head up there! :) The downstairs bedroom is lovely. The bed is very comfortable and extra pillows were provided. But the bed is placed in the corner against two walls. Therefore, you can only access the bed from two sides: the bottom or the side without the wall. Some space to access the bed on the wall side would have made the stay more comfortable for the person sleeping on that side. As it stood, they had to scoot in and out of the bed. Workable but not ideal. This bedroom could also use a night table on the side not against the wall. A wall shelf serves as a night table on the side of the bed by the wall. But a small night table or stool that can be moved over to the bed as needed on the other side was missing. We improvised by using one of the tall metal kitchen stools which worked in a pinch. Lastly, all of the windows have blinds except for the kitchen and large window above the front door. For privacy's sake it would be nice to have blinds or curtains on these windows as well.

Would absolutely stay here again - charming, beautiful, clean!

Pros: such a charming cottage! beautiful area, easy to get to and close to Woodstock shops. Would absolutely stay again!

Cons: The lock box to a sec to figure out. non paved driveway was tricky for elderly family member.
