St Charles Hotel Downtown Hudson

A terrific location with wonderful staff and excellent rooms and lobby!

Pros: The hotel was spotless, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and super clean and quite quiet. The room was well stocked with a little coffee machine, fridge, microwave and iron, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast and lobby area welcoming and clean. Safe and well located hotel and parking! I don't know if it was supposed to open, but there was a screen on the window; and it was delightful on our 2 night stay to be able to turn off the AC system, open the window and enjoy the lovely early autumn weather in our room.

Cons: It was clear via small things that the hotel is undergoing renovations. The bathroom in the room had no shelf or hooks for hanging items or putting things down yet. The continental breakfast had many choices, however, not always kept hot and filled with options; especially by 9 am. I think there is limited staffing so a request for an extra pillow was never fulfilled. However, these all seemed temporary items that will be fixed - I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

Pros: I think the room was a little pricey, but the location is perfect -- right by all the shops and a lovely walk down to the river. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well. The staff was super nice.

Pros: Location was very nice opposite a quiet park.....and I think it's probably the only place in town that has a breakfast included also free parking out back, all the other places in town is payed or park on street.

Cons: The front of the hotel is not inviting at all, it requires a makeover, brighten the paintwork up and awning over the front door a few flower boxes would do the trick.

Pros: Wonderful staff could not be more welcoming or helpful. New owners are working hard to bring back this historical hotel. While some things are still a bit worn and it is an old building so the floors can be a bit uneven, things are freshly painted and furnished and very clean. The value of off street parking can't be overstated! Especially on parade days. Also fantastic coffee shop just around the corner

Cons: It is at the top of town, so a few blocks away from the most trendy part, however I'd rather walk a few blocks and save the extra dollars to spend on the excellent shops and restaurants.

Pros: The building is not first class, but very good value for the price. The absolute star though is the receptionist Khan, who did tremendous work to make us feel welcomed. thanks!!

Pros: The Hotel is located in a central yet peaceful square in Downtown Hudson. The free parking is very handy for drivers. The Hotel staff is great, helpful and kind. They helped us make a last-minute booking and showed us the room before we made our final decision. Room is spacious and beds are very comfy.

Cons: Nothing. We stayed only one night, and the hotel was great value for money.

Zach was very attentive and very nice.

Pros: The location is perfect. Plenty of parking, close to restaurants, pharmacy and bars.
