Pros: Whistlers is the classic old school bed and breakfast - a house filled with antiques and memories and lots of character. It is family run and they care about the guests. This is standard NOT box hotel but if you enjoy sitting in the reading room with a glass of sherry this is your place

Great stay and friendly host!

Pros: Loved the feeling of being ‘lost in time’ while strolling through the public rooms, imagining being a guest at a weekend party - very immersive! It was a fitting end to a day visiting nearby gilded age Naumteag!

Pros: This is a lovely property, a charming old home with lots of antiques and gardens. We weren't there long enough to take it all in.

Cons: Internet/wifi was almost unusable. Our room was charming but a bit cramped. We had to juggle power cords to get enough lights in the room

A Loud Whisper at the Whisper Inn

Pros: The staff was amazing. Breakfast was amazing. The property was gorgeous. My companion and I had excellent stay. The art collection was reminiscent of the Guilded Age Newport RI mansions. The town is lovely and the local trails were extremely fun for the mountain bike enthusiast.

Cons: The room was super small and the steam heat was very loud and made the room feel humid. It's not a dislike but rather an observation, and expected for a 19th century homestead.
