The Central Park North

Honestly this was a great place to stay. For service apartments it was well maintained and the rwcwtionoat was very help

Pros: It was clean and the rooms had everything you need with the well one addition of a microwave/ Fridge and coffee making facilities. Really cosy and warm we stayed in the month of December.

Cons: It was close to 2 metro stations but in an area that you wouldn’t want to be walking around in the evening as there were some undesirables hanging around.

I'd stay there again

Pros: Good location near central park and subway access. The area seemed OK to walk around. The room was small but had a fridge, microwave and kettle. The communication with the hosts was good to enable us a 'late' check in. We could leave our bags after we'd checked out, but it was in the corridor near reception. The shared bathroom was looked after well.

Cons: The reception has fairly restricted reception hours 10-6 so if you need to speak to someone it can be an issue. It wasn't a problem for us but there are a number of flights of stairs to contend with with your bags.

Nice and safe place

Pros: Excelente location, close to two station by walk, clean and nice place to rest. I recommend you to go to Claire’s Kitchen cafe for a delicious breakfast.

Very positive experience and we felt right at home.

Pros: We had such a wonderful stay at The Central Park North. The bedding and towels were so fresh and comfy and the bathrooms were super clean and modern. The staff were friendly and spring-cleaned our rooms daily, which was great. We were also given fresh towels often without having to ask. The location is very good overall, as it is walking distance from two subway stations and some amazing restaurants/cafe’s like Bo’s Bagels, Double Dutch, and Claire’s. One major perk is that we were allowed to leave our baggage in the reception area after check-out so we could explore the city a little bit more before leaving for the airport.

Cons: The room was clean and pleasant, the only thing I noticed was that the window-sill was dusty so we had to dust it off ourselves. The wifi was a bit temperamental at times but that might be because we were way on the top floor. In terms of safety, there were some sketchy characters hanging around the neighbourhood, especially at night, but that’s not unique to the area and is a city-wide problem. As two girls, we managed fine by just staying alert at all times and using the Cathedral Parkway Station (blue line) instead of the station at 110 st (red/orange line). The Cathedral Parkway Station is a 8-9 min walk and well worth the extra effort because it feels much safer. Stick to blue!

Excellent value for budget travelling family of four

Pros: We really appreciated the tiny kitchen facilities and were able to save a lot by cooking our dinners. The room was warm and comfortable even with four people.

Cons: I guess I would have rated the property higher if the staff were more friendly…

Pros: Perfect location, clean and quite a big room, early check-in was available for me, and the staff was helpful too.

Cons: The toilet should be renovated, there were no spoons but tea and coffee included with the coffee maker.

Pros: Me and my friends were looking for a simple, affordable place to stay in nyc and we found it. The room was spacious enough for us and was clean. The people were nice, friendly and cooperative. The area was alright, a subway station very close with lots of connections to all different areas of the city. The hotel is situated right by Central Park, wich is great for a nice morning stroll.

Cons: The shared bathrooms were clean but a bit outdated and our shower had a faucet that should be replaced. The blinds in the room weren’t really dark enough, might be annoying to people like me who are used to sleeping in a quite dark space.

Cons: The shower could need some work ;)
