Lovely period property within short walk to local amenities

Pros: Comfortable period property ideally located for local shops and restaurants.

Victorian style stay in Shelburne

Pros: The hosts Ellie and Richard are very nice and welcoming. Even helps you with table reservations if needed. The house has a beautiful victorian English flair .. Despite it being a preserved property, they had fitted in air-conditioning to enable comfortable stay even during summer. Though breakfast wasn't mentioned when booking, they provided nonetheless self service coffee tea and basics like bread, butter, jams,etc ..

Cons: Probably a good idea to have a fan in the living & dining room areas which can get a bit stuffy.

Perfectly placed for visiting Shelburne Falls

Pros: Beautiful older property with internal decor very much in keeping with its period.

Cons: Far too many admin emails sent before the stay.

A lovely change from a basic motel room at the same price.

Pros: Self Service facilities. Charm of Victoriana era and the Reed Organ. Quietness. Within short walking distance of town amenities. Cinnamon swirl toasted bread and jam for breakfast.

Cons: Unable to confirm if any there were other vacancies that same night for another couple who knocked on the door and were asking - I suggested they try checking on-line.

Stopover in Shelburne Falls

Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much as we were able to explore Shelburne Falls - great location. We booked late so stayed in double room on ground floor. Very comfortable beds and everything we needed for our stay. Interesting furniture and paintings which contributed to the ambience; books and games available.

Our stay was great overall!

Pros: It was very nice that there was optional breakfast options and although we didn’t try the food, we were grateful for the keurig and water that was available. We loved the common/welcome area, the bookshelf/reading material, and all the seating. It was welcoming and comfortable, and though it was a bit warm in our room, I was very glad to not have to worry about being cold in the nice. The room was very quaint! The inn was super close to town also so that was a huge bonus for finding places in town to get coffee or dinner. Everything was so convenient and the town and its people were so lovely.

Cons: Everything was very comfortable and nice but it was a bit difficult to figure out how to plug in our phones/devices. We loved the convenience of having a sink in our room also but the sink drained very slowly so we weren’t too comfortable using it in case, but the bathroom wasn’t far at all.

Pros: The inn was unique and quaint. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

Cons: Bathrooms were not em suite. Which required walking in hall to use facilities.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this property with very friendly and accommodating hosts.

Pros: The breakfast was adequate and there was always plenty of tea and coffee to have at any time of the day.

Cons: The room could have been a little cleaner in places.

Pros: Really intriguing Victorian furniture and surroundings. Vintage wallpaper and details like the lamp on the newel post of stairway took you back to decor from a long time back. Self-serve toast and coffee breakfast was limited but well-supported by crea/sugar/butter/jam.

Cons: Beds were a bit soft but certainly comfortable enough and equipped with adequate blankets etc.

Nice way station on the way to Vermont

Pros: Well maintained older home in quaint town. Bathroom separate from bedroom.
