Pros: Super friendly staff and owner,so helpful and nothing was too much trouble

Cons: Lack of dining facilities but they are returning soon.

Really nice stay

Pros: We had a great time here, the room was well equipped and the host was really friendly. We could pick and eat some fresh fruits from the garden and the hot tub was also a great feature.

perfect for independent travellers who love nature

Pros: immersed in nature with berries to pick and delicious parsimons. shopping 5 min away. kitchen very handy. bring a sweater in october as there does not seem to be heating. host defines hospitality.

Quirky and a place surrounded by nature.

Pros: Quirky. It had everything I needed and more. Listen my bike to first floor veranda, unpacked and made myself at home. Perfect for a longer stay but I was only staying one night as part of a multi-day cycling trip from NYC to Montreal on the Empire State Trail. I never actually met the people running the inn. Talked on the phone and they told me how to get in and the normal protocols. I had a good night’s sleep then got up in the morning and sat on the veranda with a coffee, looking out onto the meadow and listening to the sounds of nature - phenomenal. The Merlin app identified so many birds it was incredible.

Cons: It’s worth noting that there isn’t anywhere to eat nearby. I had to cycle back to a leisure park that the EST runs through and had a nice meal at a Mexican restaurant, then cycled back. (Also worth noting - despite being actually on the EST with shops and eateries for hungry cyclists - there isn’t anywhere to lock bikes near the restaurants.)

Good value for money. Rural location would be lovely in the summer.

Pros: The owner, Steve, was welcoming and made sure everything was fine in the room. Kitchen very well equipped and would be more than adequate for an extended stay. It was very quiet, no traffic noise overnight. It was only a few miles outside Hudson and easy to find. Wifi worked well, didnt try the TV. Bed was very comfortable. No breakfast served because the owner had recently been ill. Friendly cat.

Comfortable country retreat!

Pros: Comfortable, very well-equipped room in a nice, out-of-town location. The deck out in front was great and we loved going out late at night to see the stars - absolutely zero light pollution. The room was clean and the owner was very friendly. It was all low-key and we are happy to be returning in October.

Cons: Although everything else was very clean, the bathroom rugs really needed washing. Maybe an oversight?

Absolutely amazing stay and a great getaway for a couple looking to unwind and relax enjoying the hot tub and sauna !

Pros: Property is really close to my girlfriend’s house and the rooms themselves are really put together which I really love personally.

Pros: We loved the stay along the river. The sauna was heavenly. Our host was very communicative and welcoming. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and pots and pans. We cooked in and had everything we needed. It was a pleasant stay overall. Would return 110%

Cons: The blinds on the windows allowed alot of light in the room. There was a light on the front porch that was extremely bright and we had no way to turn it off. Darkening curtains, and a raised fireplace outside would make this place perfect. I felt the place was somewhat drafty- but we stayed when there was a wind advisory.of 60mph winds.
