A nice out of season stay

Pros: Nice town (clapper-board houses) with pleasant shops and restaurants. The room was good, as was the wifi. Parking was free during the week (paid from midday on Friday and the weekend0

Cons: There was no catering (out of season) though the town had perfectly good alternatives just nearby

The best hotel to experience Port Jefferson

Pros: Danfords hotel is a lovely building located perfectly at the seafront. In fact, some of the nicest views can be had in their hotel-front garden where seating is provided. Check-in was quick and painless with a very professional receptionist. The rooms are either within the main building, or within a collection of buildings along the seafront adjacent to the main hotel building. My room was easy to find and felt very secure. The room itself was very large and spacious, but had been designed cleverly so as not to feel empty. The bed was incredibly comfortable, clean and well presented. The adjoined bathroom was large and bright, with a great overhead shower that had good pressure and immediate hot water. To top things off, I dined at the restaurant downstairs, which really impressed me not only with its delicious food but also its stunning sunset views. Overall I was very impressed, I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Port Jefferson.

Cons: My room did not have a main light, likely due to the sloped roof. This was a very minor inconvenience and bright bedside lamps were provided.

Would definitely come back again and for a longer stay im the future!

Pros: Perfect room, perfect view, friendly and helpful staff, clean

Cons: The bathroom door was a bit hard to close and open, might need a refitting maybe? the wifi was a bit spotty. There was also noise from the ferry but i think thats a given considering we're staying close to the port so that's just that and honestly it wasnt too bad either

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and accommodating. location is enchanting and within walking distance of excellent restaurants.

Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable. This was a last minute trip so it was so great to have a spacious comfy room. Loved the sitting area and big screen TVs.

Pros: Location was perfect for my short time there. Nicely situated as well from the main street which was a short walk away to all the restaurants and stores. Room was clean and spacious with a really nice bathroom

Pros: Very convenient for Port Jefferson. Clean, excellent staff. Dinner should be open by April 2023. For older travelers, first floor accommodations may be best.

Pros: Cute complex on the waterfront in the charming town of Port Jeff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Appreciated the early check-in.
