Pros: Beautiful accommodation, full of character, the bed and sheets were 10/10. The host was amazing too, so welcoming and friendly. Great advice on visiting the apple barn too! Thank you x

Pros: Small cottages fully equipped, like little apartments, in a property that recently celebrated its 100th anniversary—though you would never guess it. The place retains an authentic charm without feeling outdated. The owner is wonderful, kind, and friendly. There may not be luxurious finishes or eye-catching details, but the true value lies in the charm and atmosphere of the place.

Friendly Shaftsbury

Pros: Serenity Motel is in a lovely open location with a real country feel. It was nice to be greeted by the family of friendly chooks and rooster. Janelle was very welcoming at check-in and gave us a lot of useful information about the area. We enjoyed our stay in Shaftsbury. A good place for dinner is Kelli's Tavern in Bennington.

Cons: We would have preferred a cabin with a different configuration. We didn't need an extra bed but did need somewhere to sit, other than outside. We were able to work around not having any cutlery or crockery. It would be helpful to have on the website that these weren't provided. The main bed is very soft.

Pros: This was a stay in clean, fairly small accommodation that is showing its age. The fixtures and fittings are a bit twee but we appreciated the fact it was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were kind and helpful.

Cons: The accommodation was fine but will need modernisation some time soon.

Pros: Amazing setting with beautiful views, we arrived much later than expected, but Janelle, the owner was so great. Cosy comfortable cottages, with tv/coffee facilities and microwave. Saw the beauty of the area in the morning with 2 wonderfully tame horses and the end of the row of cottages. You felt like you were in the middle of nowhere- bliss. Janelle suggested Up for Breakfast in nearby Manchester and it was great, lovely decor and tasty food. 😃

Pros: The individual cottages were nice. It was quiet away from the road where we were.

Cons: The bathroom was tight but it worked.

Pros: Janelle was so friendly and helpful, and the cottages were adorable and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Very charming

Pros: Very charming cottage with a beautiful patio. The host was very welcoming. We spend one night passing through to Vermont. Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend!

Good location, clean and value for money.

Pros: Easy to find, clean, can park right by the room and very friendly owner/staff

Cons: A kettle in the room would be helpful and china mugs rather than paper cups would be much nicer.

Great, reasonably priced comfortable accomodation

Pros: A wondeful individual cabin with deck and car parking right next to it. Added benefit of a fridge and microwave as well as a private bathtoom. No noise from the road.

Cons: No hairdryer and a limited number of toiletries
