The Stamford Hotel

Great staff, comfortable hotel, perfect location.

Pros: The staff there were amazing. Every single one of them couldn't do enough to help. Especially Daniel, the desk Manager.

Cons: The aircon in the rooms seems only and excessively noisy. The food from the bar menu is somewhat lacking.

Convenient for my work trip

Pros: Extremely great friendly team especially Mo at the guest bar!

Cons: Needs updating decor a bit tired, shower took long time to get hot, parking a bit pricey at $25 per night

I had no expectation (did not check much ahead) and I was well suprised.

Pros: Fastest/best checkin ever: it took less than a minute for a friendly/joyfull receptionist to check ID/payment/references/give my roomkeys and ‘on point’ answers to my questions. As we say in my home country: “world champion” !

Cons: Decoration could have been a bit more original; furniture were great though. Could not access a power plug easily for coffee [room 444 if hotel reads this]

Excellent location and friendly staff with a great lounge area

Pros: The staff were friendly and very attentive to make you feel welcomed upon arrival. The lounge area felt light and open without feeling too sparse and made you want to be there. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Cons: Given the standard of the lounge area, this could have been reflected in the room as some areas of the wallpaper, although repaired, could have been repaired in full rather than in patches, which gave the room a slight tiredness and could be seen as unclean. However, looking past this, the room was in fact cleaned to a high standard.

Pros: The location for us was good. Some of the reception staff were great but a couple we very sharp and to the point.

Cons: The Booking.com accommodation made no reference to servicing the room each day. We couldn't believe that we had to advise each day if we wanted our room serviced. Strange!!!

Pros: The Hotel was perfect for the work travel purpose and it was convenient with location close by my clients and companies visiting. Room was nice and clean and comfortable, I will book it again when traveling to Stamford.

Cons: I do not have any critics about the stay so.

Pros: The property is clean and it’s located close to some nice restaurants and stores.

Solid for a good price

Pros: Good price given the season and location in Stamford centre. The hotel has basically a solid offer, just needs a refurbishment soon, it’s pretty worn out. Otherwise I cannot say anything negative.

Cons: Needs a renovation

Awesome place in a great location

Pros: I have now stayed there 3 times and when I booked for this stay I didn't realize it was the hotel I've stayed at before. The price was abnormally low. This place is the nicest in the area. Quiet, clean, upscale and has a little food service area where you can buy snacks and drinks.

Downtown Stamford Hotel

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was complimentary coffee in reception every morning plus a coffee machine in the room. Well situated to move around Stamford by car and within walking distance of the mall. They also gifted you a cereal bar and bottle of water. There was a comfortable chair as well as a desk which was nice. I would go back to this hotel because it was clean and convenient.

Cons: The parking seemed expensive. I think if you are staying at the hotel overnight, they should give you a discounted rate. I stayed here the first night of my trip as well as the last night. The first night I had just come off an international flight and I was exhausted. I was given a room with a connecting door, that didn’t lock and asked to be moved. The staff were really nice about it. But the second room didn’t have a cereal bar and water and coffee machine didn’t work. The team needs to be more on top of the maintenance of the rooms.
