Cambria Hotel White Plains - Downtown

Pros: The hotel staff is very helpful, kind and polite, and this goes to every individual team member I have met during my stay. The room and the bed are very comfortable, and the heating system in the room is excellent. The railway station is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and it takes approximately 30 minutes by train to NYC Grand Central Station. I can highly recommend this hotel to any business travellers or visitors.

Cons: I had some difficulty ordering from room service, especially from the City Pizza restaurant. In the end, I managed it with Chazz Restaurant. Due to some of the fabrics and materials used in the rooms, there is a lot of static electricity. You constantly get minor electrocution by just getting in or out of bed, touching switches, or charging your phone, etc.

Pros: The staff. All of the staff. Including housekeepers. Were so incredibly helpful and very nice. The hotel is designed very modern yet warm. I loved sitting in the lobby, reading my book. And sipping on a nice drink from the bar. Fireside. It was cold. 21° outside. I felt comfortable to have a lobby to chill out in instead of staying in my room.

Cons: The bar opens at 5. I wish it opened a bit earlier and had a Happy Hour. Maybe 3 instead?

Pros: Located in a safe neighborhood and next to a grocery/ pharmacy and other commercial activity. Also bed was super comfortable and bathroom had hot water and bathroom was comfortable and wifi was great. Also, staff at reception were courteous and helpful.

Cons: TV remote control was not easy to use and I could only find one channel. Also A/C was a bit weird. At times it was too cold and then it would turn warm. Also, if you arrive after 10 pm, very likely you will have problems finding a place to eat outside of the hotel. We got in at around 10:30 and had to walk about 30 minutes to find a place to eat on a Thursday night.

Room was large, clean and staff was great.

Pros: Staff was great, especially Kevin at the desk. Needed a last-minute room due to flight cancellation and Kevin arranged for a taxi to pick me up from trusted company at 4:45 AM to get me to airport in time for replacement flight early the next morning.
