Morgan State House Inn

Perfect apart from road noise and lack of sleep.

Pros: Lovely old property, especially the Morgan State House at 393. We were in a neighbouring property. This was unfortunate as our room was adjacent to a road with loud traffic, including first response vehicles with loud sirens at 3.15am. This resulted in a lack of sleep which was unfortunate, as the room was nice, clean and the owners very helpful.

Cons: Proximity to road and loud vehicles throughout the night.

Pros: Lovely property and people. Perfect location. Bed and room were excellent.

Excellent location for seeing Albany on foot and very peaceful at night, felt really comfortable .

Pros: We got delayed at the USA border thus making us late for check-in. John couldn’t have been more helpful as he stayed late to get us booked in, we were so grateful. Janine made sure we got fed at breakfast and made us very welcome.

Pros: The period house and furniture in the room were very nice. The breakfast was set out nicely and had enough for a comfortable breakfast.

Pros: Met Johnathan on arrival and had a great intro to property, local area restaurants etc. Our room was in a different building but we had key to access main building for breakfast. Loved the room it was spacious, clean and very comfy. The area was quiet and we felt very safe. Great stay would love to come back again one day.

Old-fashioned charming town house in a great location

Pros: Great location opposite the park and within easy walking distance of the main plaza. I’m glad we booked a parking spot as the tulip festival was on, and the traffic was literally bumper-to-bumper. Property was stylishly period, with solid furniture and proper crockery, and breakfast was beautifully served.

Cons: Instructions on where to park need to be sent earlier- we didn’t get them until we arrived because we were driving as they were sent. As this was also intended to warn us of the crazy traffic due to the festival, it didn’t exactly help.

Pros: This is a special place. A beautiful historic brown stone over looking the park . It full of historic references. everyone made you feel very welcome

Feeling like at home after a long trip

Pros: The very charming and relaxing house, with tasteful furniture and plenty of common areas to enjoy. The location, walking distance from many places where to eat and just in front of a park. The spacious room and bathroom, old style but with all what was needed to be functional. The availability of a secure parking area, at the moderate fee of 10$/night. The kindness and warmth of the owners/managers, Chuck and Janine, always ready to get out of their way to help.
