Cozy Gem in the Heart of East Rock with FREE Parking near Yale and DT

Can't give 10/10 but overall it's a very nice place

Pros: The apartment was spacious, with well equipped kitchen, renovated and modern bathroom and very comfortable beds! We slept like angels every night! The neighborhood was quiet and nice. We also appreciated a lot a free parking place at the back of the house. The location is perfect for going for a walk to the city center, for visiting Yale university, and it was also just a couple of miles away from the entrances to the major highways, we visited Boston and Newport and it was so easy to go there! There were a couple of cafes and small supermarkets nearby and a pretty big Stop & Shop in a 5 min drive distance. We also liked the system of the electronic keys at the entrance, so every guest (we were a group of 4) could enter whenever they liked without asking a key to someone else or knocking on the door.

Cons: The main room with king size bed was a bit small and dark. One bedside lamp didn't work, we texted about it to the host but no one showed up to adjust it during our stay. It wasn't specified on booking that the washing machine and the dryer cost 1.5$ each for one washing/drying cycle. Maybe it is normal in America but we came from Europe and usually when it is indicated that the apartment has a washing machine and a dryer, they are free of charge. So we had to go searching for coins at a local shop which had been suggested to us by the host for changing money. Both machines also seemed very old, but again, in Europe they are different, so maybe it was just our impression and in America everyone is OK with it. Comunication with the host was OK but only via messages on booking , we didn't have any phone number for emergencies. Fortunately there hasn't been any.

Relaxing, cozy stay in a quiet New Haven neighborhood.

Pros: The location was ideal if you have a lot of things to do in the area. If you're driving there is off street parking and easy access to the highway. The beds were the best beds I've ever slept in. The apartment has all the things you need to make your own meals. The host was very easy to contact and communicate with.

Cons: N/A Just be aware if you have a lot of luggage you will be going up lots of stairs if you stay on the 3rd floor.

Restful comfy place to sojourn in New Haven

Pros: Property was very clean, easy to access. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen amenities were all very comfortable and in good condition. And location was excellent ... loved being right next to East Rock Coffee and Atticus

Apart from initial difficulties gaining entry, the house was warm and comfortable, great location.

Pros: Excellent location near markets and university. The parking g by the house was easy.

Cons: On arrival we had great difficulty with the door codes. One code was incorrect and the procedure for using the lock was unfamiliar to us and not fully explained. Once we contacted the owner he was able to help.

Pros: Great location, immaculately clean, and property owners were good communicators.

Cons: The only thing that would make this apartment better would be some dressers or luggage racks or some other place to put clothes. Otherwise, the place was great.

Wonderful place

Pros: The place was very clean and it was near to Yale, where we had to go almost every day. It had all the stuff we needed, from all the appliances for cooking, washing to the very comfy beds. Owner is also responsive when I requested for a blanket. I will definitely stay at this beautiful place once again.

Excellent place to stay

Pros: Great apartment with nice kitchen and comfortable beds. The parking is very convenient. We usually like to stay downtown, but we have changed our minds now because this place is so much more affordable, quieter, and safer, while still being close to downtown.

Cons: There's only one bathroom, but it's a spacious one. We were able to figure that out pretty easily.

Pros: Henry’s place was clean to the level of sparkling! The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I didn’t cook at all but the amenities in the kitchen looked great. I plan to return!
