The Local NY Hostel

Clean, friendly and very well located

Pros: Excellent option for a short stay, very well cleaned and maintained. The staff was always friendly and helpful, appreciated a lot my experience!!

Pros: My first time in NY and thanks to the TLN it was amazing, perfect location, so calm and great vibes, everything you need, so clean, so trustworthy, way more than perfect in all aspects, very secure, everything was amazing

Nice , but slightly disappointed.

Pros: Liked that it was super close to the subway.And with the E train you could get to any other accessible subway to change to another train to get you to your destination of interest.

Cons: Did not like the way they checked the fridge at the facility.Bought groceries as I knew I had a long stay, spent $38 and the day I decided to sleep in the items in the fridge it were taken out and when reported I was told that they would check the cameras but no one got back to me. My items were labelled with the bag it was in. Found my butter and it was then labelled \

Very nice view from the rrof top, excellent choice if you choose a single room

Pros: The single rooms are actually quite large and nicely kept, offer all the comfort you pay for and a little extra. Very good locatiom, close to subway. Nice view from the top terrace

Cons: For a person over 40 used with his/her intimacy, I don't recomment the 4 bed dormitories, they can easily become too crowded, the roof is low and it can become very hot and hard to breathe if you're sleepng in one of the upper beds.

Pros: I highly recommend the Local NY ! Perfect location, welcoming and helpful staff ,cosy ,big screen tv , Can't wait to get back !

Pros: The service was great. Everyone was super nice at the reception, bar, cleaning...great team!

Cons: I left a yogurt for one night in the refrigerator and it was stolen, i supposeby others guests. Not a problem of the hostel itself.

Decent stay

Pros: Reception staff and common area vibe was good. Housekeeping made sure the place is clean always. Kitchen was clean. Bunk beds were okay (I don't expect Southeast Asian countries kind of cream hostels in US due to high cost of living). Baggage storage was a useful service.

Best for backpackers and Nice location

Pros: 24/7 reception and ready to help Daily activities and parties Cleanliness

Cons: Small washrooms 😐

Perfect for a solo traveller

Pros: Atmosphere, location, vibe, staff, the bar at the entrance.

Cons: I had few issues with the room when I arrived but the staff dealt with it swiftly so everything good.
