John Hotel

Cheap and cheerful.

Pros: Little far out but easy to catch metro to downtown (30-35 mins).

Cons: Price, breakfast was satisfactory. Availability of Chinese cuisine.

Nice stay in NYC

Pros: Close to the subway, restaurants, grocery market, complimentary breakfast, very clean.

Pros: Location's great; right in Downtown Flushing with plenty of options for food, bakeries, and bubble teas (if you're into that). Few mins walk to the station which takes around 40mins to reach Manhattan - very close to LaGuardia and around 30mins from JFK - the hotel facilities are basic but we knew that and didn't have any surprises. It was fine for our 2-night stay

Cons: As others have mentioned - the rooms have thin walls and occasionally you can hear others - the shower pressure wasn't great - they offer breakfast in the morning but you won't have trouble finding something better nearby

Pros: Excelent place, near subway, supermarket, its very good..

Cons: Every thing its ok.

Australian's at the John

Pros: Beds are wonderful. Slept like a log. Shower is huge, enough towels and toiletries for 4x ppl. Hosts are super accommodating and very helpful. TV wasn't working when we arrived and front desk helped us immediately. Ice is easy to access for our cold drinks in the evenings. Daily room service made our room very inviting each of our 6 nights we returned from exploring NYC. Breakfast options are excellent and well maintained during service. Got our days off to a refreshing start. Location is 8min walk to Main Street flushing station which has the 7 train direct to midtown. Next time we come, we're only staying at John Hotel.

Good value for the price

Pros: The hotel is in the centre of Asia town, lots of restaurants and shopping malls. Near the metro, line 7, straight to Times Square. The rooms are clean and big enough, the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is average.

Cons: The isolation is not great and there is a great noise during the day because of the planes coming and going out of LaGuardia. But, of you are out and about the whole day, you will not mind this. Also, there is no laundry service and no wardrobe closets to hang your stuff except a single bar with couple of hangers. But

At a convenient distance from LGA airport, thus saves you commute time.

Pros: Location, near the airport. Many dining options in vicinity

Cons: Room size is small, near to a junkyard, a source of some stench.

Pros: Courteous helpful staff Plenty of amenities like eateries and shopping malls within walking distance

Great location in Flushing

Pros: The location is great for exploring Flushing! Tangram is right next door and there are lots of places around to eat. We did not take the subway but there is a station nearby. The room was clean and there was breakfast available. The staff were very helpful and helped to arrange a taxi to JFK for our check out day.

Cons: It was a bit loud outside. Construction is going on next door, and one night the planes flying into LGA were very loud and disturbed my sleep. Other than that, no complaints.

Pros: The room was large, clean and a micro-oven is present in it. The bathroom was clean and the towels were changed daily. We like the breakfast as well. In the hall there is a freshly water machine. The staff is polite. There is a deposit if someone needs to leave its luggage and collect it later. I reccomend this hotel.
