Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford/Meriden

Lovely place, easy to find, we would stay again.

Pros: The room was spacious and the bathrooms were beautiful. We were very comfortable.

Cons: The only negative thing was that the night we checked in, we had driven in from NYC in the pouring rain. It was late and we were exhausted. The male desk clerk was curt, and not welcoming at all. For someone in the hospitality industry, he wasn’t the least bit hospitable. Maybe late checkins are annoying but they are probably people who have had a very long day. He also told us check out time was 11:00am. an hour earlier than stated upon booking, and when I stated that, he said “well, noon is the latest you can check out”. After a long day it would have been nice to be greeted with a friendly face.

Pros: It was a basic, clean and comfortable destination.

Cons: It is a 15-20 minute drive from Wesleyan. Wish we were closer

Disappointed travelers.

Pros: The location, size of the room, and the walk in shower.

Cons: The bar and restaurant were closed because of a wedding. No notification beforehand. arrived tired and hungry, not familiar with the area, we had counted on getting something to eat and drink without having to go out again at night. Rather annoying and disappointing.

Very good hotel for one night's stay.

Pros: We were a family of 4 adults sharing a room with 2 Queensize beds. The room size was good. Air conditioning unit was quieter than a lot of other hotels. Did not use the pool, so can't comment. Did not use the restaurant.

Cons: The room size was good, but the hotel did not make up our room for 4 people. We had 3 large towels, 3 small pillows per bed, 2 coffee cups and 2 sets of creamer. Air conditioning, under the window was much appreciated, but the room curtains were long, so we had to leave them open all night, which was not ideal.

We had a great stay. The hotel is very clean and well run.

Pros: The hotel was really nice and in a great location. I received a text shortly after checking in asking me if everything was satisfactory.

Pros: I love this hotel and book twice a month. staff is always very nice and very professional. the young lady at the front desk always makes sure She gives me good recommendations for the restaurants in the area. comfortable bed, and that heated pool is everything .. the breakfast is so good . I highly recommend

Pros: The customer service the dining area bar area was excellent

Cons: our experience was great just the chlorine in the pool was so strong and overwhelming. it discolored the clothes the bathing suits it was so powerful. You couldn’t even stay in the water long enough to enjoy it and also the pool was extremely cold.

Pros: The check is staff was professional and friendly, also very knowledgeable of the area and gave wonderful recommendations.

Cons: The evening staff were non attentive and mostly talking amongst themselves while guest waited.
