Iconic hotel. Worth a stay even if very pricey.

Pros: Great location on the upper East Side. Nice bar and restaurant. The Bertelsmann’s Bar was iconic but very very expensive but worth it for the experience. It has a very quaint old fashioned feel to it.

Cons: Room quite small and no bathtub. Water pressure was controlled for sustainable reasons which I understand but didn’t make for great shower.

Declared heritage and legacy vs arrogant incompetence

Pros: Coolest midtown location in quiet and peaceful expensive area. Famous bar, cafe and restaurant inside, lot of services, good amenities, famous hotel name, mainly pleasant personnel.

Cons: Too much talk on heritage and legacy at same time mixed with arrogant incompetence in some areas. Not to mention all problems, but service is far from being impeccable versus money asked. Accomodation prefernces during the booking have not been considered during check in. Reception personnel work, speed and moving are far from perfect, except one brilliant person, met on the very last day - Liliya. Not worth the money.
