Winter Clove Family Inn

Pros: Everything was great; the staff, the hotel, the food, the location.

A hidden gem

Pros: This is a wonderful hotel! We arrived after a long day of skiing and were met with a delicious meal and even smores. The team at Winter Clove Inn even made us sandwiches to take to the slopes the next day. All of this was included with our booking!

Loved my time spent here and will most definitely be back.

Pros: Everything about this weekend get away was perfect for my girlfriend and I. It was her childhood vacation destination so the nostalgia for her was comforting while the beautiful scenery and quiet countryside nature cascaded with snow was so relaxing. The old timey atmosphere reminded me of my grandparents house which was also incredibly nice. Hiking trails and skis for outdoor activities while there’s snow on the ground. Many others during the warmer months. A lot of families with kids! It was cute to see them all having fun. Bowling, game room, ping pong, and great jukebox across the way all super fun. Gift shop was affordable and so many options! Overall 10/10 experience.

Cons: Wish the indoor pool wasn’t under construction, but understandable.

Pros: fantastic location and destination stay. beautiful/spectacular land/waterfalls/trails. The hotel is an historic hotel and therefore by its nature is a bit dated. My wife and I loved the character and charm and more than willing to overlook the shortcomings. Moments spent sitting on the big, ol' porch watching the moon rise with a drink in hand after a hike is priceless and can't be matched by contemporary hotels. Rooms are small and quaint. No TV! (yes there is WiFi). I can only imagine what a summer trip with extended family/kids would be like with all the recreational opportunities and pool, and safe grounds to run around. final points; Catskills mountains are right there, nice bar off the porch, great mountain biking too

Cons: Be aware that there are no elevators so getting up and down the stairs can be a challenge. Dinner could be upgraded a little at not much expense or effort (salad, main course). Dim the lights for a more intimate experience. Wait staff were excellent, as was breakfast,BTW

It was a very nice stay with my daughter, we did bowling, pool and had a nice walk in the woods

Pros: All meals included! Also both of us got individual rooms!

Cons: Not many things to do and the activities room looked run down..

Pros: The warmth of staff and charm of the inn were unexpected, the environs spectacular.

Cons: More food choices, veggies and vegetarian options.

Pros: This historic inn is a beautiful building hidden back in the Catskill mountains. The meals are included, and everything served was absolutely delicious.

Cons: The indoor pool was closed for renovations, however, soon it will open and should be a nice place to hang out and relax.

Nice Convenient Place to Stay in the Catskills

Pros: The location was excellent for the place I was visiting. Parking was great. Quiet. A very nice family friendly place. Has a pool, tennis court. Staff was friendly and attentive. Dinner was free and good (a bit salty for my taste). Personalized place card for seating was a very nice touch. Rooms were clean. Nightly bonfire. I would stay there again

Cons: While very quaint, rooms were a little dated. It looks like they updated the bathrooms recently. beds were ok but very springy and could have been better. Rooms were spacious but no TV or mini fridge. Not important to me but might be important with a family traveling with children. There is a common TV and mini fridge. The road I had to take was unpaved(good thing I had a 4-wheel drive truck, but maybe because the place I was coming from was remote. There are other paved roads I might have taken but not the fact of the property.

Pros: The outside area was great,the food was good our waitress was great. Meals were well organized. Lot to do outside

Cons: Both beds were very noisy due to broken base mattresses. The bath tub would not hold water due to the water stop broken or disconnected. Could use a little more cleaning. The indoor pool was in rubble a major construction problem.
