Tropical style room in Geusthouse

Pros: Everything was exactly as described, or even better. Only 7 minutes to the metro station, very clean, and excellent communication with the host. I really appreciated the fruit in the kitchen, as well as the coffee, tea, oatmeal, and other snacks. The room was fully equipped with towels, air conditioning, disposable slippers, and toiletries. Excellent and very helpful communication with the owner. I highly recommend this place

Comfortable stay with a great host — just keep in mind it’s a bit far from central areas.

Pros: Overall, we had a good stay! The room was very cute, the bed super comfy, and everything was spotless — very clean and cozy. When the toilet had a minor issue, the host responded instantly and fixed it quickly, which we really appreciated.

Cons: The building itself felt a bit sketchy at first — the main doors were broken and left open, which didn’t help the first impression. The neighborhood (Harlem) felt a bit intimidating at night, although we didn’t have any problems, and people were generally kind and welcoming. It’s a colorful, cultural area, but safety was a little hard to gauge at first. Also, the subway stops were farther than we expected, so we often felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the city.

Pros: Extremely clean and whole place smelled amazing everyday for the 8 nights I was there. Fantastic complimentary bathroom amenities and the room was cosy with everything you need. Kitchen facilities were great too with a lot of drinks and snacks. Great welcome with super attention to detail.

Amazing stay at Max’s place!

Pros: Funky appartement in Harlem, great vibes to spend time in NYC! The flat is kept super clean, you have all equipment needed. Several subway and bus stations nearby, the Yankees Stadium is close by foot too!

Cons: I would have liked a bath mat as it is slippery when coming out of the shower, and an extra towel for the hair.

Pros: Great stay - Max was a great host who communicated with us for any queries. The location is great, and the room included some great perks, including a mini fridge in the room stocked with free drinks. A little noisy at night, but to be expected anywhere in Manhattan and nothing that was too loud. Overall, great value for money!

It was everything we need

Pros: I liked the fact that the apartment was clean and we felt really safe considering that we had a shared bathroom and kitchen. The facilities were more than we expected. I would totally recommend this apartment!

Cons: The location is not the best and it wasn’t quiet all the time, but it was not a problem for us considering that we didn’t stay too much inside

Pros: Good price. Great host. Everything was clean in the room/kitchen/bathroom. Food/coffee/munchies/bathroom accessories.

Cons: Location, It’s a little sketchy environment(area) for night walk.

Tolle günstige Wohnung mit liebevollem Gastgeber. Lage etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber gut.

Pros: Max war ein ausgezeichneter Gastgeber, der einem bei allem geholfen hat, wenn es Probleme gab, oder noch bevor welche entstanden. Man bekommt beispielsweise eine genaue Anleitung über die Anreise von den Flughäfen. Außerdem ist die Wohnung sauber genug und es gab täglich frisches Obst und Süßigkeiten, sowie eine Kaffeemaschine zur freien Verfügung. Die Lage war zunächst etwas ungewohnt, was bei uns aber schnell verflogen ist. Wenn man von der A (express) oder C Subway anreist ist es auch etwas weniger Trubel und weniger komische Menschen. Die Subway Verbindungen in die Stadt sind alle Fußläufig in 10 Min erreichbar. Das Bad wird mit 4 Zimmern geteilt - hat für keine Probleme gesorgt. Es gab extrem viele Pfege und Hygiene Produkte (vielleicht noch verbesserbar für Frauen). Die Steckdosen hatten USB und USBc Anschlüsse. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar!

Cons: Was etwas komisch war ist, dass bei die bei Booking angegebene Adresse 5min von der eigentlichen Wohnung entfernt war (das müsste behoben werden). Morgens zwischen 5 und 7 war es immer relativ laut, sonst aber leise Wohnung. Die Lage ist in der Dunkelheit gewöhnungsbedürftig, da das Viertel eher von sozial schwächeren Menschen bewohnt wird (viel Substanzabusus). Uns ist nie etwas passt, wir hatten auch keine negativen Erfahrungen, aber als alleinreisende klassisch europäische Frau könnte man ein Gefühl von Unsicherheit bekommen.
