Pros: Because I was in a jam with a cancelled flight and choices to stay were few, I was happy to get a room at a Holiday Inn Express because I know they are reputable and dependable. It was in a convenient location to the airport (by taxi) and into the city with a public bus shuttle and train. Staff was helpful in providing directions to the bus and the train route to take. They also suggested places nearby to eat.

Cons: Shuttle bus to and from the airport (La Guardia) and a listing on available hotels in the area.

Cheap and nice place in Queens, about 1h from NY

Pros: Very warm welcoming, everyone was polite and helpful with directions. Room was clean and you wouldnt leave breakfast on an empty stomach. Mac donalds are in the next building if you need a fast bite during the day.

Cons: If you chose this as a place to stay while visiting NY, you will need to take a cab/uber or bus to a metro station and then go to Manhatan.

Pros: Breakfast was tasty and fulfilling with a variety . Excellent for the start of a productive day. Staff was friendly and helpful with any aspects of day-to-day living.

Cons: An airport shuttle would have been the icing on the cake with sparklers
