Decent space in Greenpoint Brooklyn

Pros: The room is spacious, with a separate lounge area.

Cons: The sleeper sofa in the living area had seen better days - it offered no support and was not comfortable to sleep on. We were advised to 'move the matteress to the floor' and it was only after complaining a second time, was the sofa adjusted, which made it a little better. Also, the shutters are not effective at blocking out light.

Lovely hotel, with lovely staff.

Pros: Really enjoyed our stay, nice rooms and the staff were unanimously friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Cons: The breakfast could probably use some more fresh options and the recycling situation is a little odd as to what can and can't be recycled. Proper plates would probably help and would certainly be more pleasant.

Pros: The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful - they were all lovely! Breakfast was generous. Our room was great - with a unique flair and very spacious(and far larger than we could have afforded in Manhattan). We liked the quiet neighbourhood a lot – we could escape from the madness of NY city. The hotel itself has loads of character.

Cons: The only slight disadvantage was the location - we always needed to take the subway – but it was a nice quiet area, so it suited us very well.

Great hotel in a great part of town.

Pros: Stayed here previously and had a great experience, glad to say the same again. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms very generously sized, and the decor fantastic. It's a few minutes from the nearest subway stop and the heart of Greenpoint which makes it great whether you're travelling around New York or staying in Brooklyn and enjoying the myriad of cool bars and places to eat nearby. While nothing in New York is cheap, this hotel represents fantastic value and I would recommend it highly, especially compared to staying in Manhattan.

Cons: A minor complaint: We were placed in a basement room which, while large and accommodating, had a street level window overlooking the bed. That said, the staff were kind enough to offer another room free of charge.

Home from home in Brooklyn

Pros: Very convenient for family visit. Comfortable, spacious room with excellent shower and bathroom. Great breakfast bar. Staff always helpful.

Exceptional stay, amazing views and fantastic location!

Pros: We had the best stay at the Henry Norman Hotel, we couldn’t fault one thing. Our room was beautiful and the views were exceptional, a real surprise! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and the location was perfect with lots going on in the neighbourhood.

Superb experience in an excellent hotel - friendly and very efficient staff.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel was spotlessly clean with imaginative tasteful decor. Excellent bedroom with plenty of space. The whole experience was exceptional!

Very convenient pleasant place to stay if visiting Greenpoint

Pros: Excellent room and facilities-staff could not have been more helpful Liked tea and coffee facilities in the room Bed was very comfortable Breakfast was reasonable -

Cons: Parking-we did get a ticket o because we couldn’t make head nor tail of the signage We were on the N Henry Rd side and despite being on the 3rd floor were disturbed by the noise from the bus depot opposite-as it was warm we put the ceiling fan on and the white noise thus caused sorted that out

Great accommodation in an area where there are limited options.

Pros: We stayed in 2 different room types over our couple of stays while we were in Williamsburg. Both were spacious, clean and modern. Lots of storage. Very expansive mini bar. We were visiting family nearby so perfect for us - and only 20 minutes walk to subway. A great choice of restaurants within easy walking distance.

Cons: Not keen on eating breakfast out of disposable paper plates and bowls and there was limited seating. Some muesli would have been nice too. The new breakfast area in the basement will be much more spacious.

Cons: Some breakfast improvements would be great, coffee machine rather than drip filter and more fruit options and less pastries .
