Ideal for a stay in Greenpoint - Cheaper and much more welcoming staff than Franklin Guesthouse
Pros: Very pleasant and welcoming hotel in Brooklyn Greenpoint. Nice, confortable bedroom and bathroom, very confortable bed. Tea and coffee to start the day. Very nice and welcoming staff. Reasonable price for NYC, ideal for a stay in Greenpoint. A much better option than the expensive and unwelcoming neighbour hotel Franklin Guesthouse (avoid it as much as you can)
Cons: Closed rooftop terrace, a pity as the view is great. No body lotion.

Cool area, cool hotel, great base for exploring the city and Brooklyn
Pros: I really loved this hotel, decorated in a very individual and interesting and super sophisticated. Loved the room, hard wood floors, great bathroom, tonnes of space. The lobby was really cool full of interesting art. Staff were easy going, room was always clean, easy location to get to the city if you’re ok with a walk to the subway. Yeh just loved it if we come back we’ll make a point to stay again.
Cons: Kind of failed with a honeymoon package but it was half arsed in both sides. If we’d both followed up more it would have worked out. The bar didn’t seem to be open on the evening during the week but there’s so many local bars, brewery’s and restaurants to choose from so wasn’t a big deal.

Pros: We liked the location a lot. It is 40 minutes away from Manhattan (Times Square), using the subway.
Cons: A bit too expensive.

Very good Value for money
Pros: The room is very spacious and the decoration is really nice. Very good value for money. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient with a couple of metro stations at 10min walk distance and plenty of restaurants.
Cons: The a/c system was very noise in our room. It is old and maybe it is the reason why.

Most gorgeous hotel I've ever stayed in
Pros: Gorgeous down to the tiniest detail. Felt more like holiday rental with 2 bedrooms, large living area and kitchen space, but with all the benefits of 24hr reception. Having a laundry was great too, for our onward travel. Bags of character. Staff went above and beyond to help.
Cons: Loved everything Only downside - not hotels fault - it was so freezing in NYC we had to take taxis everywhere rather than walk/subway. So we felt the distance from Manhatten more than we otherwise would in terms of travel time and cost.

Great base to explore NYC
Pros: Good location, easy access to subway and East River ferry.
Cons: Room was cold and the heater too loud to leave on at night.
