Our stay was pleasant

Pros: This is my second stay at the property. The location is close to the center of town yet feels like it's in the mountains. The breakfast choices are plentiful and delicious, and the rooms are clean. We enjoyed sitting around the fire that is lit at night and meeting other visitors. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Peaceful location and easy check in.

Pros: Perfect for a stop off or travelling through the check in was so easy and straightforward Room had everything you needed. Didn’t meet any staff but that’s ok. The area is very peaceful.

Cons: The walls are quite thin but you expect that of these buildings the plug didn’t work in the sink but there was nothing that stopped me from having a wonderful sleep.

Pros: we had a lovely breakfast served by friendly hostess and... real crockery, which was great.

Cons: the room can not be fully darkened, it’s always a bit bright because of light shining in.

Most enjoyable; highly recommended for a brief stay in Berkshires: convenient to everything!

Pros: Good breakfast--a huge variety of milks. Charming and whimsical decor throughout based on mid-century modern (ie. marimekko comforters and vintage-style refrigerator and microwave.). Dog-Friendly: doormats with dog themes. Very attractive and clever transformation of this motel which we remember from 60 years ago. Enjoyed talking with manager.

Cons: Some noise from AC.

Great stopover in a beautiful location

Pros: This is an older motel that was refurbished while retaining its original charm. Our room (#9) was basic but spotless with a very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast had lots of variety and good coffee. For those seeking other options, there are several restaurants within a short drive. I'd also like to mention that due to an unexpected family situation at home, we were almost forced to cancel our stay. We were able to sort things out and keep our reservation but I'd be remiss if I didn't thank Rhonda (innkeeper) for her prompt responses and assistance with late check-in instructions. We'd recommend the Briarcliffe and will be back!

Little Berkshire Gem

Pros: Everything about the Little Lion Briarcliff is just ideal. It’s one of my worldwide favorites. I’ve stayed here over 10 times and will return!

Cozy motel close to outdoor activities

Pros: Very good location for a hike in the Berkshires. Quiet location if you don't have dogs staying right beside you. Amenities pool etc are quite a drive away. Very clean and very comfortable beds

Cons: Barking dog neighbors. Nice to be pretty friendly, but people need to have trained dogs

Pros: Easy check in and they allowed us to bring our dogs
