Wonderful stay for a family close to the convention center.

Pros: The staff, location and amenities were wonderful. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue leaving the parking lot at checkout and the front desk staff were able to fix the issue immediately. The breakfast selection was diverse and it was nice to have familiar staples as well as different offerings each day. The convenience of having a full kitchen stocked with cookware and dishware/utensils is wonderful for those staying multiple nights and don't want to throw away leftovers or want to make their own meals. The location is wonderful too. We were there for a convention and the proximity to the convention center cannot be beat. Even with 2 young children in tow, it only took 15-20 minutes to walk there. If you exit from the lower level, you are able to go across the street to the UConn school of business building and go up the stairs for a pedestrian only walkway directly to the convention center and the riverfront.

Cons: The room had a very faint cigarette smoke odor that we got used to (or it got masked from the food we were cooking) but it was unpleasant for the first night.

Would stay again but would want a better view and a better price

Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good although making tea was not easy! Good location for walking in the downtown area. Also well situated for public transport to and from the airport and the Westfarm mall. Loved out 2 bedroom suite but would have liked a better view for the price charged.

Cons: That the hot water for tea was complicated and needed someone to show you how to use it. There wasn't always a staff member around to demonstrate use. Could do with written instructions or a separate machine just for boiling water. There was no reduction in price for a room with no view of the city. When I booked it was quite expensive and said rooms had a view of the city. Our room had a view of an internal courtyard. It was quiet dark.
