Pros: Lovely house, room was small but very comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very friendly and breakfast excellent. Very few places to go locally, except the Eerie Canal which was very interesting, and not many nearby restaurants open because we stayed just after July 4th! However good stopover location.

Cons: Lack of restaurants nearby.

Exceeded our expectations

Pros: It is an amazing place to stay, we were driving from Toronto to Rhode Island. It is a beautiful, easy and sophisticated place—very nice and breakfast. We will definitely return. Air conditioning was not at the top in that room, but the owner immediately reacted to resolve it.

A friendly bed & breakfast

Pros: The host was warm and friendly and made sure our needs were met. He accommodated our late check-in and provided details on how to do so. Our breakfasts were enormous and delicious. The building was quiet at night. The parking in the back was very useful.

Cons: The room wasn’t conducive to opening the thick wooden shades so it was pretty dark. This didn’t matter during our stay because we only used the property to sleep at night but if I was to spend more time there the darkness would bother me. The air conditioning worked well but the air was pointed at our faces in bed. We tried to lower the settings but then the room felt too warm. The room was a little cluttery with decor and amenities. It was difficult to find places to put our own amenities.

Pros: Absolutely unique and homely. Mike and his staff were nothing short of welcoming and helpful. The best part was the easy access to come and go as well as the amazing breakfast we’ve never experienced in all our travels. Brick the pup was also a nice addition to the stay. We will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend!

Pros: We stayed in the Kingsland room and it was perfect! Very spacious, clean, comfortable, and cozy. Breakfast was fabulous. The little shopping area was a great addition as well as the coffee cart for early morning coffee!
