Fantastic host in lovely home.

Pros: John is a fantastic host and it immediately felt like home. He‘s decorated the house with so much love and attention to detail. And he‘s also a great chef! We‘d gladly stay with him again.

Cons: Everything was perfect!

Lovely host, beautiful heritage home, excellent location, fascinating history/sites in the area.

Pros: Our host, John, made delicious breakfasts each day we were there, such as homemade French toast with local fruit and maple syrup, and frittatas with local vegetable as a side. He also accommodated my friend's non-dairy request. It was excellent.

Cons: There isn't anything to dislike in this quiet, charming bed and breakfast.

Pros: Owner was very friendly, made excellent breakfast, provided beautifully curated rooms with high cleanliness standards, dogs were absolutely adorable and friendly

Ein Aufenthalt, bei dem man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen kann!

Pros: Wir haben dieses B&B als Durchgangshotel von New England zu den Niagara Fällen gebucht. Aber unsere Erwartungen wurden absolut übertroffen. Man sollte hier länger als nur eine Nacht bleiben. John ist ein fantastischer Gastgeber und die Seele dieses Hauses. Mit seinem Hund gibt er einem das Gefühl, Teil der Familie zu sein. Und das Frühstück war das Beste auf unserer Reise. Die Zimmer sind alle individuell eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Und man kann alle Teile des Hauses nutzen. Man fühlt sich manchmal wie in einem Museum mit Erinnerungsstücken aus fernen Tagen. Sehr schön ist auch Johns Autosammlung. Danke für die Gespräche zwischen mir, meiner Mutter und Dir!

Cons: Der Eingang ist etwas schwierig zu finden ;-)

Add this unforgettable BnB to your itinerary, comfortable and unique

Pros: A pleasant surprise to see how spacious our room and bathroom were, unusual for a BnB. It was quiet too, in spite of the busy street. John was very pleasant to chat with and accommodated our breakfast requests. The many items of quirky art were amusing, and the various common areas were comfortable. It would be great for a family gathering or event, the patio was huge. It was clean and the bedding was very comfortable. John was a great host.

Cons: Perhaps signage as to which doorbell to use to check in, we wandered a bit and laughed with John when he found us. There's a lot of stuff in the house, and some with physical issues may have trouble getting around or up and down stairs.

Friendly and homey

Pros: The bed and room were very comfortable and clean. The linens and towels were high quality. John is a gracious and accommodating host, allowing us flexibility with breakfast during our 4 night stay.

It was comfortable, clean and inviting home.

Pros: Beautiful house. Our host John was wonderful and welcoming. He made us feel like family.

Perfekte Unterkunft

Pros: Host John ist ein toller Mensch. Er hat uns herzlich empfangen. Das Haus ist aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und antik eingerichtet. Das Zimmer + Bad war sauber. Klimaanlage und Wifi vorhanden. John macht einem morgens Frühstück und hat sogar nach Allergien gefragt. Er lebt dort mit seinem Hund. Generell eine sehr familiäre Stimmung. Route 2 Richtung Boston ist landschaftlich toll und führt direkt am Haus vorbei.

Cons: Das Bett quietscht bei jeder kleinen Bewegung. Wenn man einen leichten Schlaf hat, kann das stören.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the 2 staff members who were helping out the owner who was away attending a wedding were excellent -4 stars . Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.The other people staying at inn were very friendly and nice.

Cons: The outside grounds are awaitng the annual spring cleanup [it is only the first weekend of May ] -Owner reports that his gardener quit recently,

Great place to stay near Troy/Albany

Pros: John the host was very accommodating, due to a snow storm we had to change in our stay at the last minute. We had a 3 night stay instead of 2. The room was very nice, king bed and breakfast was really very good.
