It was a great stay.

Pros: Characterful old house with places to sit outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. Kate was particularly helpful to us when our hire car went wrong; much appreciated.

Cons: We would have loved to have a lounge separate from the bar.

Very good location, warm attentive staff, rather traditional/old-fashioned in design

Pros: Attentive hosts. Responsive to any concerns. Warm welcome on reception. Comfortable room is a nice location and easy access to Old Bennington.

Cons: Interior design rather fusty and would benefit from updating

Beautiful location, wonderful owner, and delicious food. This is our second stay there.

Pros: The breakfast was delicious how we enjoyed talking to people we met.

Cons: The only thing I could think of was in room number four, it was kind of hard to see the small television because of the footboard. Possibly a larger television mounted on the wall. But otherwise bed was super comfy as was the pillows.

Historic charm in stunning location

Pros: The Inn's location is superb. The property and grounds are quite beautiful. It's located in an older and stunning district above the town itself. We found the room better than the photos. The staff is very kind, warm and engaging. Big shout out to one of the owners; Kate!

Cons: The common area to lounge and relax is small. (This is due to the size of the Inn itself, which can't be changed per se).

A wonderful choice for Bennington.

Pros: We stayed in the stand-alone cottage which was special. And I parked our motorcycle right outside the door. The breakfasts were great and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. The Monument and Robert Frost’s grave are easy walks from the Inn.

Cons: A little far to walk to dinner. The Inn has a restaurant for dinner but only some nights. Not an issue if you are driving, but once we get off the at day’s end, we don’t want to suit up again.
