Modern hotel in a great location. Quiet noisy in the rooms at the front.

Pros: Great location, near the subway and easy to get to and from La Guardia airport in a taxi or the bus. The hotel is new and the rooms are modern, comfortable and have everything you need. The staff were very friendly.

Cons: The subway was right outside of my window and despite soundproof windows you still hear a lot of noise. I had earplugs and didn’t have a problem but for anyone who is a light sleeper I would recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel.

Pros: super pretty inside, great staff, possibility to store luggage before and after our stay

Cons: they didn’t inform me beforehand that they will be charging additional $100 for deposit

Beyond expectation!

Pros: Greeting from all the receptionists makes everyday so warm. The room is bigger than I thought and is very clean. There's a coffee machine in the room so I don't need to buy coffee every morning. The bed and pillows are soft that I felt like sleeping in the clouds.

Cons: The first time my room was cleaned, they forgot to refill the napkin and toilet paper, and the desk was not wiped.

Pros: Super clean, everything is new and well kept. Great location next to subway station and right across from a 24 hour supermarket. The staff are lovely and the amenities are great - gym, filtered water tap, coffee machines, cleaning services, and 24 hour manned service desk.

Cons: The vibes of the street it’s on aren’t great. Stay a bit closer in for better vibes and more restaurants.

Clean and convenient

Pros: The subway is conveniently situated near the yellow subway line. It is also very newly renovated, so the property and facilities are currently clean and mold free.

Cons: Even though the facilities were mostly clean, I did notice there were a few hairs in the shower place upon check in . I would recommend that management enforce a deep clean of the hotel rooms after guests check- out to ensure that the facilities remain in great condition. The walls are also not very sound proof, so you can hear guests if they are being loud in their hotel rooms.

Great base for visit to NY

Pros: The reception staff were terrific - helpful and friendly. We loved being right by the N-line subway. A perfect little room - very clean and a great bed. Good range of places to eat within a short walk. This was a great base for our first experience of NY.

Cons: Our only gripe was that the breakfast staff were less well trained than the hotel reception staff.

Wonderful accommodations in Astoria

Pros: Was very happy with my short stay at voco Astoria. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and everything looked new. Very comfortable accommodations, large shower. Quiet at night. Convenient public transport with subway and bus. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect base for NYC City break

Pros: The location is ideal for a city break, tucked away from the crowds of Manhattan, yet only a stone’s throw from the nearest subway station with frequent direct trains. It also made getting to and from JFK incredibly easy. The front-of-house staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The room itself exceeded expectations. The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, and the shower was amazing. Everything felt new, modern, and well thought-out, including plenty of charging points with USB-C ports, a plus for international travellers like me. Returning each day to a spotless room with fresh towels was a nice touch. I didn’t experience any noise issues, likely thanks to being on the top floor and on the quieter side of the building. Simple temperature controls meant we could keep the room warm and cosy throughout our November stay. Overall, a fantastic, comfortable stay and highly recommended.

Cons: The immediate area may not be as cool and desirable as some other neighbourhoods - we struggled to find a good coffee spot. Think the competetive rates reflect this.
